Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice

Effective: June 23, 2026

Entropy is a wellness and self-tracking tool, not a medical device. This notice explains how Entropy handles consumer health data, including wellness, nutrition, mood, sleep, activity, and related inferences. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Categories of Consumer Health Data

Depending on how you use the app, Entropy may process the following categories:

  • Food logs, meal photos, nutrition estimates, and meal timing.
  • Mood entries, sleep logs, activity logs, water logs, and life-event notes you choose to enter.
  • Profile fields you choose to provide, such as age, gender, height, weight, smoking status, and drinking status.
  • Self-tracking scores, educational wellness summaries, trend reports, and other inferences generated from your entries.
  • Website waitlist product-interest selections if you choose wellness-related interests, such as food, mood, sleep, or routines.

The first release does not collect medical diagnosis records, Health Connect or HealthKit data, precise location, contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone recordings, browsing history, or an inventory of other apps on your device.

Sources

Consumer health data comes from information you enter, photos you choose to submit, device-level information needed to operate the app, and AI-generated summaries produced from your submitted content.

Purposes

We use consumer health data only to provide app functionality that you request:

  • Creating meal, mood, sleep, activity, water, and routine logs.
  • Generating non-medical wellness summaries, self-tracking scores, and trend reports visible to you in the app.
  • Maintaining account security, debugging service issues, and delivering optional service notifications.
  • Responding to privacy, support, access, correction, and deletion requests.

Sharing

We may share consumer health data with service providers only as needed to operate the app:

  • AI processing providers for user-requested analysis of meal photos, food text, or mood text.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers that host the app backend and databases.
  • Cloudflare for website hosting, waitlist storage through Cloudflare D1, Pages Functions, and Turnstile anti-abuse checks on waitlist forms.
  • Embedding or search providers that help organize user-visible analysis results.
  • Push notification providers when you enable optional reminders or service notifications.

We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use consumer health data for third-party advertising or cross-app behavioral advertising.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent by emailing privacy@getentropy.app. You can also delete your account in the app under Profile -> Delete Account Permanently or use our Data Deletion page.

Retention

We retain consumer health data while your account is active so the app can show your historical logs, summaries, and reports. After account deletion is verified and processed, active account data is deleted generally within 30 days. Residual backups, if any, are scheduled to expire or be overwritten within 90 days unless limited retention is required for security, legal, or disaster recovery needs.

Website waitlist records are retained until beta or launch communication is completed, until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or for as long as reasonably needed to maintain consent, abuse-prevention, and legal records. Verified waitlist deletion requests are processed from active systems generally within 30 days, with residual backups scheduled to expire or be overwritten within 90 days.
